I’m a semiconductor and photonics scientist who has spent 11 years moving technology from the research lab to the factory floor.
My foundation is III-Nitride thin-film research: growing GaN by molecular beam epitaxy and combining it with 2D materials to create self-powered, broadband photodetectors. That research mindset now shapes how I solve manufacturing problems—start with the mechanism, find the signal, then make the solution repeatable.
Across space and defence microelectronics, thin-film solar and consumer electronics, I’ve led laboratories, global reliability programs, technology transfers and quality systems from NPI through high-volume production.
Epitaxy, thin films, photolithography, photodetectors and failure analysis.
FMEA, SPC, 8D/CAPA and qualification translated into robust factory systems.
NPI and high-volume ramps with teams across India, China, the US and Southeast Asia.
Four chapters. One connective idea: take complex science and make it work reliably in the real world.
Grew III-Nitride films by plasma-assisted MBE and designed hybrid photodetectors spanning UV to near-infrared. Produced 10 publications, six as first author.
Led a seven-person hybrid microcircuits and photolithography laboratory delivering for India’s space and defence programs, with responsibility for process, quality and customer requirements.
Served as a global reliability and quality expert for thin-film solar manufacturing, supporting new technology and plant qualification across the US, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Leads battery-pack quality in India from new product introduction through high-volume production, spanning supplier quality, failure analysis and data-led automation.
Ph.D. · Engineering Sciences
My doctoral work paired gallium nitride and silicon with atom-thin 2D materials—creating detectors that run on their own power, cover wider wavelengths and remain stable in demanding conditions.
Reduced graphene-oxide electrodes enabled strong photosensitivity at zero bias in a large-area planar device.
A g-C₃N₄/silicon junction spanning deep UV to telecom infrared, with light-triggered current switching.
A dual-mode graphene-oxide/GaN device designed for low dark current and long-term stability.
10 publications across photodetection, III-Nitride materials and 2D-material interfaces.
